Meet the Pack
-
Monique aka Mo
Primary Human
Born and raised in Southern California, I’m a special education teacher, lifelong dog lover, and proud primary human to Maverick and Winston. I love spending time with my family, being outdoors with my pups, traveling, and trying new restaurants with my husband, Greyson. Since Balls and Bandanas came to life, my weekends typically consist of sniffing out cute fabrics, sewing, and turning them into bandanas worthy of a tail-wag (and hanging with the pups of course).

Maverick aka Mav Dog
Black Lab/Shepherd Mix
Maverick has been part of the pack for the past 11 years. He was a rescue from Labs and More Rescue. Truthfully, he rescued me just as much as I rescued him. Don’t let the frosted face fool you — he’s still full of life. He lives for ball time, head scratches, sniffy walks, digging up every hole in sight, and will never say no to a treat.
-
Winston aka Winnie the Bish (IYKYK)
Black and Tan Dachshund
Winston joined the pack 3.5 years ago and has been Maverick’s sidekick ever since. For this wild little weenie, ball is life — all day, every day. He’s incredibly sweet and loyal to his humans, loves to go on sniffy walks at the park, play with his favorite toys, and never misses a chance to let the whole neighborhood hear his bark.
Why I Started
Balls and Bandanas started as a personal hobby — a mix of love for dogs, a desire to learn something new, and a cause close to my heart. My dogs have carried me through life’s biggest ups and downs and I wanted to create something that gave back to all the animals who continually give their unconditional love.
Everywhere I look, I see dogs in need whether it be in shelters, in rescues, or living on the streets with displaced individuals who rely on them for love, companionship, and hope. I wanted to do something to help all the good pups out there who are down on their luck.
So I bought a sewing machine, learned as I went, and started creating handmade bandanas as a way to raise funds and spread awareness. What began as a hobby turned into a passion project I’m proud to share with you.
My Mission
To make tails wag and hearts full one bandana at a time.
100% of the proceeds from each purchase goes directly toward helping dogs in need through:
Food and supply donations
Medical care assistance
Lowering adoption fees
Supporting unhoused individuals with pets
